The 4th Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair will be held from 4th June, 2015 to 7th June, 2015 at Yiwu International Expo Center in the bustling coastal province of Zhejiang, China.

The fair acts as a platform for commodities buyers and sellers to interact with each other and explore the various lucrative opportunities present in the Chinese commodities markets. Most of the attendees will be buyers looking for innovative products, techniques and services in the commodities industry.

Almost one-fifth of the World’s population resides in China. According to the official population clock, China is home to 18.9% of the World’s total population (approximately 1.37 billion people). China also happens to be the second largest economy in the world (after the United States) with a gross domestic product of USD 11.2 trillion as of 2015. Due to its high average annual GDP growth rate of 7.5%, it is estimated that the country will overtake the United States as the largest economy in the world by 2025.

In its attempt to establish itself as an economic powerhouse, China witnessed the growth of a significantly large middle class population. According to a Mckinsey Report based on the mapping of China’s middle class, the decade ahead will continue to witness the expansion of the middle class powered by labor market and policy initiatives that will push wages up and stimulate economy and income growth.

As of 2012, the upper middle class population was estimated as 14% of urban households. By 2022, this group is expected to account for 54% of urban households. This growth of the middle class is leading to the evolution of shoppers and consumers who are no longer satisfied with the availability of limited goods. The middle class population is able and willing to pay a higher premium for foreign goods that are of better quality and offer more variety.
